But in order to add items, you must be in Edit Mode, not Exec Mode. Find the icon with two red arrows, and click it. The icon should change to blue arrow pointing right. Now you are in Edit Mode, where you can edit items on AssistBar. First, you can use Drag & Drop to add items. Just drag and drop any items (files/folders/shortcuts) from your Desktop and drop them onto AssistBar. Now you have added items. Second, you can click the right mouse button to pop up a menu, and choose [New Item] in [Insert] menu. You will be presented a dialog box to input the file/folder location, and a tooltip. Click [OK] when you are done. [<a href="#top">go top</a>] </blockquote> 2. <a name="How_to_delete">How to delete items</a>? <blockquote> You can only delete items when you are in Edit Mode. Find the icon with two red arrows, and click it. The icon should change to blue arrow pointing right. Now you are in Edit Mode, where you can edit items on AssistBar. Move the mouse cursor on top of the item, and click the right mouse button. Choose [Delete] command and you are done. [<a href="#top">go top</a>] </blockquote> 3. <a name="How_to_change_positions">How to change the positions of the items</a>? <blockquote> You can only change the positions when you are in Edit Mode. Find the icon with two red arrows, and click it. The icon should change to blue arrow pointing right. Now you are in Edit Mode, where you can edit items on AssistBar. You can simply drag the item and drop it to the desired position. That's all. [<a href="#top">go top</a>] </blockquote> 4. <a name="How_to_create_group">How to create groups?</a> <blockquote> You can only create groups when you are in Edit Mode. Find the icon with two red arrows, and click it. The icon should change to blue arrow pointing right. Now you are in Edit Mode, where you can edit items on AssistBar. Click any item with right-mouse button, and click [New Group] under [Insert] menu. Enter the name of the group and click [OK]. Change its icon if necessary. [<a href="#top">go top</a>] </blockquote> 5. <a name="how_to_delete_group">How to delete groups</a>? <blockquote> You can only delete groups when you are in Edit Mode. Find the icon with two red arrows, and click it. The icon should change to blue arrow pointing right. Now you are in Edit Mode, where you can edit items on AssistBar. Click the group you want to delete with right-mouse button, and click [Delete] menu. [<a href="#top">go top</a>] </blockquote> 6. <a name="How_to_add_items_to_groups">How to add items to groups? How to delete/change them</a>? <blockquote> You can only add/change/delete items on groups when you are in Edit Mode. Find the icon with two red arrows, and click it. The icon should change to blue arrow pointing right. Now you are in Edit Mode, where you can edit items on AssistBar. When you click a group icon, its group bar appears. You can add items to it by drag & drop--just as you would do when adding items to the AssistBar's main bar. You can also change/delete items by right-mouse clicking an item and choosing [Property] or [Delete] menu. [<a href="#top">go top</a>] </blockquote> 7. <a name="How_to_use_with_Keyboard">How to use AssistBar with Keyboard?</a> <blockquote> You can only use keyboard in Exec Mode. If you can see the icon with two red arrows, you are in Exec Mode. Otherwise, click the icon with blue-arrow pointing right, and you are in Exec Mode. You can press tab shift-tab, right-arrow key and left-arrow key to move through the items on AssistBar. Press the Return key if you are on the item you want to execute. Press Esc key to hide AssistBar 98. You can activate AssistBar 98 with keyboard combination of your choice. You can set this option in AssistBar 98 Property dialog box. [<a href="#top">go top</a>] </blockquote> 8. <a name="How_to_prevent_disappearing">How to prevent AssistBar from disappearing when executing a program</a>? <blockquote> When you are in Exec Mode to execute programs, you can press Shift, Control, or Alt key while clicking the item (or pressing Return key if you are using keyboard) you want to execute.
